Trying to create a new page

  Can anyone tell me why the “create” button doesn’t react after selecting the properties to create a new page? P.S.: I am a beginner. So you know..

Here is my workaround while waiting for the fix :

  • on the left panel, go to “Pages”
  • duplicate page “TaskOverwiew” which has the same required layout (tasks_TopBar)
  • rename it into “SLA Dashboard”
  • go back to “Navigation Document” on the left panel and now you can associate the SLA Dashboard page to your menu item

You will have unwanted widgets/blocks below the top bar (because of duplicate from another page) but I suppose it will be easy to delete and replace them afterwards.

No, just tested this and it works fine on a existing two-months old app.

What version did you create the app? This one?

Hi Tim

I have created the app today and I am currently taking course “ Build an App in Mendix Studio” through the Academy. I suppose Sander is in the same case as we are both beginners and our page name matches ;)

Hi there,

Please try this workaround.

Workaround 1:
Duplicate an existing page which has the desired layout and then edit it. As an example, I have created the "SLA_Dashboard" page by duplicating "TaskOverview", in this application.

Workaround 2:
Opt to edit the app in Studio Pro (screenshot below).
