I cant seem to find the reference selector widget for my page in the toolbox pane… has it been renamed ?

No, still called Reference Selector. Its in the group with Input Widgets:

So this is a new feature as of a couple of weeks ago. However, it seems the training modules haven’t caught up with the latest releases.

Use Drop Down as reference selector.

Here you can see that I have a connection to the TrainingEvent (with the associations shown in the image above) and still I can’t see the reference selector. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and thanks Claudia for following up on this same issue we both were facing.. I was able to use the drop down and associate the appropriate attribute to the drop down.
