Hi all, I created a mendix-theme.zip with the Mendix Theme Creator. My google-fu is not strong enough to find a description how to load that into a Desktop Modeller project. Can anyone point me to a description how to do this?

Just put the zip in your theme directory.

And do not forget to set your theming in the modeler Project settings tab Theme.
