String (unlimited) in non persistent entities

0
Hi all, As I’ve read on a (quite old) forum post , checking the ‘ unlimited’  box for string attributes can have an impact on performance, as databases can use different string types,  (var)char vs. text. Does this also apply for non-persistent entities?

Somebody from Mendix might chime in here for the definite answer but my guess would be that it does not apply for non-persistent entities simply because they never end up in the database but only live in memory.
