Modifying an existing Team Server app with a node script

Hello all Mendix Model SDK gurus. In release note 4.15 of Oct 2018, two new features are listed: Enabled creating a working copy directly from Team Server. Added a method to create an element from JSON. Does anyone have working examples showing how to use this? I am trying to load a Team Server application's data model (as a new working copy), update one or more domain models and commit the result, using TypeScript and node.
