Is there a way to select entries in a datagrid using checkboxes instead of usual click function?

Hi dear experts, I am looking for a way to use checkboxes to select objects in a datagrid instead of using the usual click and select function. Is there a way to achieve this? Many thanks!

You can use an editable listview that displays a list of helperobjects with checkboxes and an association to 'your' objects. Optionally these helpobjects are non-persistent, dependent of the amount. Create a list of objects per user to prevent multi-user problems. (people changing each other selection/checkboxes)
