Exploring the Mendix Model SDK

At the moment, I'm looking into the Mendix Model SDK. On the following Mendix Documentation site, a use case example describes measurement of code quality using the Model SDK. https://docs.mendix.com/apidocs-mxsdk/mxsdk/use-case-examples Has someone already tried doing this or has it been implemented? Any other awesome use cases that already have been used?

Both the SIG with their AQM solution and Omnext with their Fit Test solution use the Mendix SDK for this purpose.

Ok, I'm looking for an open source initiative, so I can tailor it to my needs and integrate scripts in the CI.

Do you always have to work with online working copies or is it possible to apply the ModelSDK to a local copy of a project (without using the team server)?
