In my app I receive e-mails. When these e-mails have attachment I offer my user the possibility to view these attachments and open them. No problems here. However, when the attachments are sent from an iPhone, it seems they can not be opened. They are saved on disk, but opening them from disk displays just raw data. Anyone experienced the same?

Perhaps the file name is missing its extension when sent from an iPhone? If the user renames the file after download, can it be opened then? If that's the case, you would just need to find a way to rest the file's name attribute after you import a new mail attachment.
