First make sure that you network is fine and check if you do not have any oversized blob that creates a long process or datatransfer. After having checked those two, check if you can replicate this socket hang up in a new project. If that is the case, then you best create a ticket to support@mendix.com for this. Looks like something that can only be solved in the builder itself.
