Sort Option for dropdown column in a Editable data grid

I have a Data grid in which one of the column is an asssociation to other entity and I made this column editable . Now the column turned in to a dropdown to select from association but the values in the Dropdown doest sort . I dont see any option in the column properties to sort either . Is there any way to sort the values coming from association in a Grid editable column as dropdown ?
