I have found the Atlas UI site (https://atlas.mendix.com) to be very useful in finding design elements I need to build my apps. However, a few improvements would make it quite a bit more useful.
- Ensure that URLs from the site resolve to the page I am viewing. For instance, I copied this URL while viewing the Widgets | Listview page (https://atlas.mendix.com/p/widget_listview/5910974510924380) however, when I click on it, I am taken to the Atlas UI home page. This makes it hard to direct others to the page I am viewing. To direct someone to the ListView page, I have to say go to Atlas UI homepage, click on About Atlas, expand Widgets in the left hand menu and scroll down to Listview.
- On pages about the widgets, indicate what classes are used to achieve the options presented. The Listview page shows Default, Bordered, Lined and Without Styling options, but doesn't indicate what classes are needed to achieve each.
- As a follow on idea to the last point, perhaps in the Atlas UI resources module in the Modeler, page templates or building blocks could be added for all widget options. For instance, there could be a Widgets folder with subfolders for each widget and in the Listview folder, I would see 4 building blocks, one for each Listview option. This would be a way to provide comprehensive documentation for all classes in the Atlas UI framework.
