It would be nice to be able deploy the project to edit the java code in IntelliJ as well (for those who prefer IntelliJ over Eclipse)
Deploying in eclipse and then importing in Intellij also works but requires some additional changes in sdk paths etc. which can be simplified by providing an option to deploy for Intellij from within the modeler
Maven also happens to be a native project format for Netbeans.
Yes, IntelliJ with Maven, then that resolves obsolete jars.
