Mendix is a cool tool; but it’s seriously lacking on the reporting visualisation options…..
Because of this, we have embedded MS PowerBI into our application, where we consume the Mendix data via Odata into the PowerBI cloud, and have the reports appear seamlessly in our app.
However, currently we can only consume Odata via a full refresh, and not incremental refresh. As our datasets grow, and our reporting expands, we are fast hitting time limits for a full refresh.
The good news is that Query folding can be supported by Odata sources, if implemented by Mendix; so please vote this up if you want Mendix to support PowerBI incremental refresh!
