Could Mendix add options in the properties of widgets that allow data entry to connect the dropdown of input options to another entity (the lookup table) so that the user can fill in one of the lookup table options into the field they are working with?
So, the field itself would be connected to the entity that it normally is in a page (with any of the normal options), but we get a new set of properties for say “Input Selection Values” where we can connect to another entity or xpath etc. from which we get a dropdown list of potential values we can select?
I know this somewhat overlaps with enumerations which is already possible. However, enumerations can only be changed by coding activities, whereas lookup tables could be changed by a screen and be far more dynamic.
