Alternative way to access the properties of an association

Some of our objects have become so complex with associations that it simply becomes hard to click on the right association to view the properties. This is especially true for the ones that cross modules, since the lines cannot be manipulated. See example screenshots:

It would be nice to be able to open the association properties in the screen as shown in the last screenshot.
