I think the mendix app store should have the option (self service or via support) to migrate widgets/modules from one company to another. Or make the appstore content not related to companies at all, but instead relate it to the publishing developer that can assign multiple developers to the content. This seems more like the approach GitHub is using with repositories.
The reason is that there is already duplicate app store content because developers are changing jobs or stop updating the content. To improve the quality of the app store I would like to see a change there.
