although things are explained in the how-to guide regarding odata, it would be great to have a simple example app where all type of calls are described including the initial setup of the odata call with Csrf initialization etc.

I think this would be very useful for trouble shooting. In my experience, it’s not so easy to set-up the Mendix – SAP Back-End connection for the first time (especially when the Back-End is R3, not S4). If you are using the Java actions from the SAP OData Connector module, it takes care of the connection in one package, but it can be difficult to trouble shoot. I have had to manually re-create the process with separate rest calls, in order to better analyse what was causing the issues I encountered.
